- Born to Cara and Phillip Banks, their first child and at first, heir to the weighty Banks name. Her birth name was Victoria Rosa Dumont Banks. Later had one sister and one brother, Ellen and Benny. Phillip was not a loyal man and enjoyed spreading himself out over numerous women; perhaps she has more siblings that she doesn’t know about.
- Manifested at the age of thirteen, using her voice to soothe Ellen to sleep. She began attending Bellefonte and after obtaining a small amount of control, was immediately brought in to most of her father’s important business meetings to ‘influence’ his colleagues and ensure successful business. Victoria grew to hate everything her father stood for.
- Finally cracks under the pressure of her father’s expectations and the moral weight of helping with his shadier deals, and runs away from home. Victoria moves to Australia at the age of sixteen and completes her schooling at the academy there.
- At eighteen she legally changes her name to Pan. The name is pulled both from Peter Pan, her favorite childhood story of freedom and fun, and the god of music and wild places in the world.

EMPATHETIC VOICE
Pan is able to influence the emotions of those around her through the use of her voice. The effects of her power depend on her tone and intent, as they must be in harmony for her ability to work. For example, she cannot sing a sad song with the intent for it to make her audience happy, or say something funny while sounding depressed. Due to this, in the times when Pan influences the emotions of others, it is easiest for her to be feeling them herself as well. Faking emotions, while viable to an extent, is nowhere near as effective. Pan’s abilities are also much stronger when she chooses singing over speaking, either because it is easier for her to emote more freely through pre-written emotional lyrics, or because she has a naturally pleasant voice to listen to. The nature of her words also affect the audience, as a song about killing people, even if sung happily, would not lift the spirits of those around her. (Unless they were particularly violent people.) The song has to fit the audience and tone, or else will nullify Pan’s abilities.
She cannot actively read the emotions of those around her any more than anyone else. She can only influence their emotions from her own desires. Her influence is only temporary, generally lasting until the individual is touched by another external influence. For example, an individual that was made cheerful would likely not remain so if they then witnessed a hit-and-run. Pan may be able to influence the emotions of others, but her powers do not include mind-control. Under her influence people may me more open to suggestion, such as an ‘angry’ person being more inclined to attack or harm another, but if a suggestion is so against their nature then it may snap them out of their ‘mood’ instead. Her power is, however, often enough to override natural emotions for a short-period of time unless overthrown by a stronger stimuli. Pan’s abilities also work on all sentient things capable of registering her voice, including animals.
To be able to use her abilities Pan must be able to sincerely empathize with those around her. She cannot simply sing and pretend to be angry in order for her audience to, in turn become aggressive. Her own emotions must be genuine in order to touch others. Similarly, once her song is over the connection between Pan and the audience is broken. She has no power to direct their emotions or how they will act while under their influence, only able to present the emotion in its purest form. She does have the ability to simply sing normally without infusing her music with any emotions, but it is incredibly difficult, since she is naturally a very emotive person. Due to this, she sometimes accidentally induces emotions onto others that accidentally hear her sing. Her control over her own abilities still need work.

- Pan has no control over the people she influences, and no say in how they react to her voice.
- People exposed to Pan’s voice frequently can begin to develop an immunity if they possess the desire to.
- Gagging Pan or keeping her from speaking nullifies her powers.
- She has to genuinely feel the emotions she is trying to convey - faking them is much less effective.
- Singing is much more emotionally-powerful than just talking.
- For Pan’s power to work, individuals have to be within earshot. Blocking ears or using earplugs can negate her powers.
SIDE-EFFECTS
- Short attention span.
- Overly emotional, and suffers rather quick mood swings on a regular basis.
- Gagging Pan or keeping her from speaking nullifies her powers.
- Projecting is emotionally draining for Pan. Long or frequent performances can leave her distant and absent-minded for a period of time. During these periods she usually hates being around people, and being touched. It has also been known to lessen her own emotional capacity, but so far these instances have only been short-term
- Singing can damage Pan’s voice the same as anyone else’s and overuse can lead to permanent damage.
- Nosebleeds and falling unconscious aren’t uncommon after large uses of her power.
