LOOKS LIKE Chloe Bennet
I always knew that it would happen eventually–my mom was a mutant, and my dad knew about it. She died when I was still very young and though I don't remember her well, my dad always did a great job of telling me all these stories about her–and her power. I manifested when I was eleven, a few years younger than my mother had. I inherited the same power as she, and though I think my father was happy that I had something in common with her, he was also sad to see me go.
While the La Delgadillo Academia didn't have the best reputation, that was where my mother had gone–it wasn't easy, you know, convincing the recruiters to send me there instead of Bellefonte, but I think they saw my reasoning. I wanted to know more about my mom–more than what my father could tell me, and what better place to start than her old school?
It was... It wasn't quite what I had expected. The students there, they were sort of... Wild and untamed, and it was kind of hard to picture my mom being one of them. But alas, eventually, after the initial shock and complete terror, I found my place.
At eighteen, I took a break from it all and joined the army. It was hell, but it also gave me a sense of purpose. I stayed there for roughly a year before I moved back home. My dad had been getting sick and I wanted to help out around the house. So, I moved back home to Portland, Oregon and while helping my dad at his garage part-time, I enrolled in a vocational education program.
I was roughly twenty when the news came. It was terrible news, and my dad was worried they'd come looking for me. And so we waited, while trying our best to lead normal lives, but... No one came. Guess my records must have gotten destroyed, or maybe I was considered so insignificant that no one really... Bothered to come looking. To be completely honest... I never really cared to find out: They didn't come knocking and that was fine by me.
We heard about the camps, too. News traveled rather quickly, and before we knew it, they set up some of them right off the coast from Oregon. My dad wanted us to move far away, but how would that look? We're already under the looking eye for being of Hispanic descent–didn't exactly need another reason for them to look into us.
So, to anyone it might concern...
My name is Emily Alejandra Garcia, daughter to Matias and Mariana Garcia. I am a twenty-five year old who still lives at home with my dad. He owns his own garage in Portland where I also work. Two years ago, I fulfilled a life long dream and finally got my private pilot licence.
I'm just a regular girl with a regular life.
Or so I want them to believe.

PSYCHOMETRY
Emily has the ability to understand the "life story" of an obkect by using her senses around it. This means that through touching an object, she can pick up "residual energy" from it. Her power works similar to that of a telepath, as she can read the memories of the object she touches. She can see who the object has been with, what it has been through, how old it is, its last location and so forth.
These images often appear similar to that of a movie: Whether or not they include sound, smell or any of the other senses depends entirely on the memory in question. These "visions" are often random, and controlling them requires a lot of focus and concentration. The more knowledge Emily has about the object, it's easier to shuffle through the memories.
For example, Emily cannot pick up a random object and pick whatever memory she wants. She has to know what she's looking for in order to find anything more specific. If she doesn't have basic knowledge, the memory will always be random.
While Emily is usually in control of her ability, sometimes, these "visions" might appear when she touches an object, without her meaning to. She can consciously turn her ability off and on, but that doesn't mean it's bullet proof. She has and is still experiencing memories popping into her head when accidentally touching an object.

LIMITATIONS
- Emily's ability only work inanimate objects: She cannot read the history of sentient beings, such as humans or animals.
- This ability works through all of her senses, though the most common is touch.
- Objects that are older or who have been handled and loved by people longer have a stronger psychic impact; those that are newly made or ignored are harder to read. Meaning that it's easier for her to pick up on memories of object with a lot of history, whereas the ones with less of a history has less to choose from, thus making it harder for her.
- Whenever she reads a memory, the ability suck her out of the present moment entirely, meaning that her body will freeze up (or grow completely limp) and she will be hard to reach. While the memory plays, she doesn't sense anything going on outside the memory. This might last from anything between a few seconds to few minutes, all depending on the length of the memory.
- The more detailed a memory is, the harder it will be for her to properly get a read on it, as it can overload her senses, and thus cause her to black out.
SIDE-EFFECTS
- She suffers from headaches that increase in severity the more information she gleans from objects.
- The more information the memory include, the quicker it'll overload her system, and can result in fainting. These headaches can grow into migraines and further develop into nose bleeds and nausea.
- Emily often suffers from confusion after reading an object. The confusion can be anything from wondering where she is, what time it is (day/month/year). This happens especially if the memory she reads is further away from the present time.
- Can sometimes encounter issues with seeing inanimate objects as inanimate; can often end up personifying an object, as if it has emotions and thoughts of its own.
